A Plea Court appearance is scheduled tomorrow for 23-year-old Moises Hernandez Us of Indiana, who is charged with arson and related offenses at his apartment at Wayne Avenue and Maple Street last month. Police say he claimed he was trying just to set himself on fire but he accidentally set the apartment ablaze. Several other tenants in the building were displaced.
Hernandez Us is charged with arson-danger of death or bodily injury, arson-endangering property, reckless burning or exploding, and reckless endangerment. He’s due before President Judge Thomas Bianco at 8:30 om Monday.
A number of defendants in other cases are scheduled for sentencing tomorrow, and there are numerous DUI defendants.
