Indiana County officials are warning the public about a scam targeting people involved in subdivision and land development applications.
The Indiana County Center for Economic Operations says fraudulent emails have been sent requesting payment by wire transfer to the county’s Office of Planning and Development. Officials stress the office will never ask for payment by wire transfer.
Anyone who receives one of these emails is urged not to respond and to report it to the Office of Planning and Development at 724-465-3870.
