State police have released more information on an incident in Creekside that brought out the State Police Special Emergency Response Team.
Police were called out Monday afternoon to a home on Indiana Street in Creekside Borough for a welfare check on a man living there. Police were able to determine that the man was armed and had barricaded himself in the home. According to an update this morning, when the State Police SERT team entered the home, they found the 59-year-old man took his own life.
The cause and manner of death are pending final determination by the Indiana County Coroner’s office.
