The Indiana Area school board has a very extensive agenda for Monday night’s meeting with numerous items dealing with the coming school year, including a $68.9 million tentative budget. The plan includes a 4.5 percent increase in the tax millage, with final adoption of the package scheduled for June 22nd. The board will also consider the ICTC budget, which is about $10.3 million, with the district’s share to be determined based on enrollment.
Purchase Line’s board has an active meeting planned, with some of their many agenda items including the authorization of their architectural consulting firm to proceed with a project to renovate restrooms near the high school auditorium, gym, and cafeteria, as well as high school classroom doors. The board will also vote on the acquisition of a milling machine for classroom projects, with part of the costs paid for by the Red Dragon Foundation.
Marion Center’s board will hold a work session at which it is expected to review a budget tentatively set at $31.2 million, with an anticipated increase in real estate taxes of 4.5 percent. The board will also consider approval of the renovations at the Dr. John R. Mallino Stadium, with the total project cost of $2.9 million. It would include the installation of artificial turf, replacement of the track and expansion of it to add an eighth lane, and bleacher enhancements. The district would pursue grants and donations to offset the costs, with the Capital Projects Reserve to fund the balance.
River Valley’s policy committee meets on Monday. United’s board meets on Tuesday. Penns Manor’s board meets on Wednesday.
