The District 6 baseball semifinals get underway today with Northern Cambria, the second seed in Class A, taking on third-seeded Claysburg Kimmel. The Colts eliminated Conemaugh Valley in the quarterfinals, 6-2 while the Bulldogs beat Purchase Line, 12-2.
The other semifinal is tomorrow at Juniata Valley, where the top-seeded Hornets tangle with Homer-Center, the fifth seed. The Wildcats blew out Saint Joseph in the quarters, 16-3. Juniata Valley took down Williamsburg, 8-4. The game will be on Renda Digital TV, airing at 1:45.
