The Indiana County Fair has announced that they will be able to hold the fair this year.
This comes after the fair was cancelled last year in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. Ed Nehrig of the Indiana County Fair Board said that unless restrictions are put in place between now and the week before labor day, things look to be pretty normal for the fair.
Nehrig did say there was going to be one change. There will be no country band for the Wednesday night entertainment this year. He said instead, there will be another racing competition.
Nehrig said that the cancellation of “Country Night” was due to several factors, including the lack of time to book a country music act and the waning popularity of the concerts.
A full fair schedule has not been released yet, but one event that has been planned is the 3rd annual 5K Run and fun walk on August 29th at 8:00 AM at the fairgrounds.
