The Indiana baseball team held on to beat Holy Ghost Prep to claim their second straight PIAA championship on Thursday at Medlar Field at Penn State.
After each team notched two runs in the first, Indiana got some runs in the second thanks to Ethan Shank who had one RBI that inning and Sully VanHoose batting in two of his own to make it 5-2. In the top of the 5th, Charlie Manzi hit a solo homer to Left-Center field to make it 6-2.
Holy Ghost would make it tense as the Firebirds scored once in the fifth and two more in the bottom of the seventh, before Manzi, pitching his 3rd inning of relief, locked it down with a strikeout and induced two straight flyouts to seal the win for Indiana.

Indiana finishes the season 22-4, and repeats as WPIAL and PIAA champions. They become only the 5th team in the history of PIAA baseball to win back-to-back titles.
