The public comment period for the State System of Higher Education’s proposed consolidation of six universities into two will end on Wednesday. Comments may be made digitally by posting to the State System website at passhe.edu/publiccomment.
The plan would merge California, Clarion, and Edinboro universities into one in the west and Bloomsburg, Lock Haven, and Mansfield in the east. Comments made between now and Wednesday will be added to comments gathered during and since two public hearings held earlier this month.
The consolidations are part of the State System Redesign, and will come before the Board of Governors for approval at its quarterly meetings on July 14th and 15th.
