Indiana County first responders were busy as a strong storm system made its way through the county yesterday.
Reports of flooding were made by Commodore and Marion Center fire departments after roadways in Rochester Mills, Deckers Point and Dixonville were flooded. Flooding even impacting Fisher Furniture on Route 403 in the Dixonville area as its showroom was completely underwater.

Fire departments were notifying citizens last night that basement pumping details would be done as soon as they would be able to access certain areas.
As of 5:00 this morning, Commodore fire crews said that they were finishing a few things on Route 403 and will be returning to the station soon.
Indiana County 911 did report a physical rescue on Barr Slope Road in Green Township at 11:17 last night, with Commodore and Clymer fire departments sent out to help. Blairsville fire crews would send a boat later on and Cherryhill Township fire department was sent to assist a few minutes later. Between 9:01 last night and 4:34 this morning, there were four reported pumping details and four reports of lines down. A vehicle accident was also reported on Route 286 in Conemaugh Township at 3:50 this morning. Saltsburg and Tunnelton fire departments were sent out along with state police.
