Robert Smith is taking aim at FIFA and President Donald Trump for the World Cup Final halftime show.
In a series of social media posts, the musician criticized the organizers of the concert and explained that he believes it was unnecessary. He wrote “the point is not really about who is curating or performing, it is about the..idea of a football world cup final half time show.”
Sunday’s performance during the Argentina-Spain game was curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin and features performances from BTS, Shakira, Madonna, and Justin Bieber, among other artists.
