A preliminary hearing is scheduled for today for an Indiana man charged with assaulting a woman in late June.
38-year-old Brandon Reed is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment in connection with an attack on June 27 in the 100 block of N. Third St. in Indiana Borough. Local police say Reed allegedly held a knife to the neck of a woman, but she was able to eventually escape and contact police. The woman suffered minor injuries in the incident.
Reed has been in Indiana County Jail since his arrest as he was unable to make $100,000 cash bail. His hearing is set for 2:30 today in front of District Judge Guy Haberl
