A portion of 422 is closed following a three-vehicle accident this afternoon.
Indiana County 911 reported the accident at 2:23 p.m. for a location on Route 422 in Armstrong Township. Officials say that three vehicles collided near Masonry Crane, just past Trim Tree Road.
One person was life-flighted to a nearby hospital for treatment. State Police from the Greensburg Barracks are reconstructing the scene, and that portion of 422 will be closed for the next several hours.
Indiana Fire Association members were assisted by PSP and emergency medical services.
