It’s another series split for the Altoona Curve as they beat the Seawolves 4-1 in Erie on Sunday.
It was a bullpen day for Altoona, but they were mighty on the mound, limiting Erie to one hit. Starter Domenic Pipkin started with two scoreless and hitless injuries.
Josh Loeschorn, who earned his fourth win of the season, followed with three scoreless frames allowing just one hit and one walk with three strikeouts. Jacob Deese took care of the sixth and seventh innings before Landon Tomkins covered the 8th and 9th innings to pick up the win.
The runs came from Robert Hassell III who had an RBI single in the top of the first. Will Taylor would bunt home a run in the second and a sac-fly in the third, and Keiner Delgado drove in the final one when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
The Curve are back in Altoona to start a six game set against Akron on Tuesday. Altoona will send Peyton Stumbo to the mound.
