Doris Jean (Wynkoop) Glasser, 96, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of Blair and Alta (McMillen) Wynkoop, she was born December 8, 1929 in Rayne Township.
Doris was a devoted member of Marion Center Presbyterian Church, where she faithfully served as a deacon for many years. She also worked alongside her dear friend, Nancy Oberlin, coordinating the church’s building fund dinners. Her faith was an important part of who she was, and she made it a priority to instill her love of God in her family.
She was an active member of her community and enjoyed being part of a bowling league, a card club where she loved playing 500 Bid, and a couples camping group. She was also a proud and active member of the Pennsylvania Farm Association. She and her beloved husband, Ray, worked hard together to raise their seven children on their dairy farm, building a life grounded in faith, hard work, family, and love.
For her, love was often expressed through the kitchen. Cooking and baking for her family were among the many ways she showed how deeply she cared. She spent countless hours preparing holiday meals, carefully planning every detail and making sure everything was just right before her family arrived. Those gatherings were among her greatest joys, filling her home with good food, laughter, and the people she loved most.
Some of her fondest memories were made traveling with her husband and her in-laws, sharing adventures and creating cherished memories along the way. But perhaps her greatest joy was watching her family grow. Her children and grandchildren were among her proudest accomplishments, and she was truly the world’s greatest cheerleader for each and every one of them. She will always be remembered as their beloved “MaMa.”
She celebrated their successes, encouraged them through their challenges, and loved each of them with her whole heart. Her faith, generosity, warmth, and unwavering love for her family will remain a treasured part of her legacy and live on through the many lives she touched.
Doris is survived by her seven children Diane (Sidney) Sellers; Carol Fry (late husband Lynn); Beverly (Mike) Gatskie; Janis (Lynn) Baun; Chuck (Linda) Glasser; Conni (Fred) Eaton; Fred (Wendy) Glasser.
