One person was hurt in a crash in the Chevy Chase section of White Township.

Indiana County 911 reported the crash at 8:28 this morning at the intersection of Josephine Avenue and Center Street. Indiana fire officials were sent to the scene along with Citizens’ Ambulance Service and state police. It’s believed a car was driving east on Center Street when a van blew through the stop sign and hit the car, putting both vehicles in the yard of a nearby house.
One person had to be extricated from the car. The victim was taken to IRMC for treatment of injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was checked out by EMTs. The intersection was closed for about an hour while Troopers investigated and the fire crews cleaned the scene.
