State police crime reports include a raid on a Center Township woman’s bank account by an unknown person. The victim, who lives along Catherine Street, reported the theft Friday. Within two days of accessing the account, the thief drained it of $1,252.94. The woman closed the suspended account after reporting it to First Commonwealth Bank.
Police also report a fraud case involving a 51-year-old Indiana man whose identity was stolen. They do not say whether any money was lost.
A Shelocta man was cited for disorderly conduct Friday night at the White Township Walmart store. State police say 31-year-old Paul Swarden “started to scream and yell profanities” when he found that the auto service department was closed. That area is right next to the toy department and children were present.
