Tuesday night, the Center Township Supervisors were updated on many issues concerning the power plant project.
The update came from John Clark, who is the consultant for the township and a project manager for the Homer City Generation project. He said that a lot has been accomplished over the last few months. One of the things that he is working on are budget documents in an effort to keep things more visible to the public.
He also talked about the informational meetings with HCG and PennDOT about intersections, roadwork and things in the township that need to be done. He reassured people that they are looking out for the best interest of every commumity, large or small.
Supervisors also briefly discussed a superload related to the Homer City Power Plant that’s coming through the area. It’s not expected to impact a large area of Center Township except for where the load will enter the power plant site.
