Penn State began the Matt Campbell era with a 45-0 thumping of Marshall on Saturday, with starting quarterback Rocco Becht, who came from Iowa State with the new coach, tossing four touchdown passes in his Nittany Lions debut.
Koby Howard, Brett Eskildsen, Benjamin Brahmer and Zay Robinson all caught scoring passes, running backs Quinton Martin Jr. and Cam Wallace ran for touchdowns, and Ryan Barker kicked a 38-yard field goal.
Penn State will play at Temple on Saturday at noon.
