IUP is getting ready for its traditional celebration of the U.S. Constitution.
This year’s celebration is being coordinated by the university’s Center for Civic Dialogue, and will be held next Monday, September 14th. The first of two events will be the annual reading of the constitution from 12:30 to 1:45 PM in front of Stapleton Library. IUP President Dr. Michael Driscoll will start the reading, and he will be joined by other members of the university community. This marks the 18th year that IUP will host a reading of the constitution.
At 6:00 that day is another tradition as history faculty member John Mannard will portray James Madison during “A Chat with the Founding Father: What We Can Learn About Disagreement.” This will be in Elkin Hall’s great room, and will be open to the public.
