Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday has announced an Indiana man now faces charges of possession of child sexual abuse material.
Court documents show 43-year-old Yao Wang of Indiana was arrested after a proactive investigation that resulted in 21 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material, four counts of disseminating a photo of child sex acts and a single count of criminal use of a communications facility. Sunday said in a statement that earlier this year, agents in his office found child sexual abuse material file sharing originating from a home in Indiana Borough. When agents with the AG’s Child Sex Predator Section executed a search warrant on South 11th Street, agents traced the file sharing to Wang.
The case will be prosecuted by Deputy Attorney General Alison Bragle of the Child Predator Section.
At his arraignment hearing last Wednesday, Wang’s bail was set at $50,000 usecured bond. He is due back in front of District Judge Anthony Sottile for a preliminary hearing on October 1st.
