William B. Coleman, 73, of Indiana, unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
Bill was born August 5, 1953 to Lawrence Boyd and Dorothy Mae (Craig) Coleman in Indiana.
Bill was a 1971 graduate of Marion Center High School. He was a member of the UMWA. He worked for Ford Motor Co., Delaney Chevrolet, and R and P Coal Company. After leaving the coal mines, Bill attended Triangle Tech to become an electrician. He also owned Bill’s Automotive Machine Shop then retired from Nature’s Blend as an electrician. He enjoyed auto mechanics, working on classic cars, watching, and attending dirt track races. Bill loved his dogs, especially Buffy. He and his wife enjoyed spending the winters in Florida. Bill was always willing to help anyone.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years Vickie S. (Shank) Coleman, Indiana, a brother Dean Coleman and wife Sandra, a sister Wanda Rising, all of Indiana, brother-in-law Harold Shank and wife Salley, OK, sisters-in-law Bonnie Young and husband Dennis, WV, Rose Johnson and husband Donald, VA, Mildred Sprager and husband David, WI, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Donna J. Coleman, sister-in-law Wilda Mae Wolf, brothers-in-law, Thomas Wolf, and William J. Rising.
Visitation and services are private.
