An inmate of SCI Pine Grove was ordered to serve more time behind bars for two different cases.
Court documents show 19-year-old Zair Alvarez was sentenced in a case of aggravated harassment by a prisoner to one to three years in a state prison for an incident in October of last year. In a separate case, he pleaded guilty to a charge of inmates procuring a weapon from February of this year. In that case, he will serve six months to two years. He was also ordered to pay any associated fines.
Also sentenced yesterday was 37-year-old Jack Rupert of Blairsville, who was ordered to serve two years of probation, including 30 days of house arrest for a charge of receiving stolen property.
