It was another record-breaking day for the Love of Life 5K run and one-mile walk in Indiana this morning.
The annual event benefits the Women’s Imaging Center at IRMC and this year’s funds are going towards a multi-year effort to acquire a new 3-D mammography machine. Heather Reed of the Indiana Healthcare Foundation said that this year’s efforts resulted in 779 runners and walkers, the highest total in the history of the event.
A special treat greeted everyone who finished the run as Foam Party Pittsburgh was there to create a pink foam party for the runners.
