Full interview: Rep.-elect Nancy Lacore, former Navy Vice Admiral fired by Sec. Hegseth

Watch Margaret Brennan’s full interview with Rep.-elect Nancy Lacore, a portion of which aired on November 8, 2026. Rep.-elect Lacore will become the highest-ranking female U.S. military officer to ever serve in Congress. She served as chief of the Naval Reserve until she was let go by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth without explanation in August 2025. Rep.-elect Lacore was one of more than three dozen candidates who flipped their seats in last week’s “blue wave.”
