IUP will hold graduation ceremonies today at the KCAC for those graduating at the end of the fall semester.
Winter Graduation Ceremonies will start at 9:30 AM for graduate students and at 1:00 PM for undergraduate students. Students who have completed their graduation requirements for December of this year and January of 2022 will be honored during this ceremony. 427 students will receive their bachelor’s degree, 179 students will receive master’s degrees, with 35 doctoral degrees and one associate degree awarded today. Four others will have military commissioners bestowed by Captain Adam Becker.
IUP president Dr. Michael Driscoll will preside over both ceremonies. The undergraduate ceremony student speaker will be Saige Karastury, a member of the IUP Cook Honors College and a dietetics major. The graduate ceremony speaker will be Oscar Rodriguez-Franco, who will receive his doctorate of sciences during the ceremony today.
With graduation going on, IUP is offering shuttle bus service today that will loop from the KCAC to the Suites on Maple East, back to the auxiliary KCAC parking lot and then to the former BiLo/Grapevine parking lot across from the KCAC. The bus loop will run one bus every five minutes from 7 AM to 4 PM today.
