According to a report by WPXI in Pittsburgh, Sheetz will be cutting the price of its Unleaded 88 gasoline for the holiday weekend,
The price of Unleaded 88 will be dropped to $3.99 a gallon and E85 will be lowered to $3.49 a gallon, effective immediately.
The Unleaded 88 grade is approved by the EPA for use in vehicles for model years 2001 or newer, as well as light-duty trucks, SUVs and flexible-fuel vehicles.
E85 contains more ethanol (51 percent-83 percent) and is not compatible with all vehicles. It is designed specifically for flexible-fuel vehicles or FFVs.
Media Representative Nick Ruffner detailed why Sheetz opted to cut prices during the upcoming weekend.
In Indiana County, store 61 Clymer and store 498 located along Route 22 in Blairsville will have reduced prices. Other stores located on the outskirts of Indiana County partaking in cost-cutting is store 52 in Patton, 55 in Northern Cambria, 101 in Ford City and 430 in Ebensburg.
This special price will be available only through the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
