An Indiana man is due in district court today for preliminary hearings in three cases in 2022.
Court documents show that Vance Lee Sykes, who will turn 29 next week, faces charges from August, September and October of 2022. On August 26, Sykes was charged with three counts of simple assault, single counts of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and public drunkenness and four counts of summary harassment. Those were connected with an incident that Indiana Borough Police said happened in the 500 block of Philadelphia Street. More charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness along with a charge of resisting arrest were filed after the second incident on September 17th. In that case, Sykes allegedly assaulted multiple individuals in the 900 block of Klondyke Avenue. Charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment were also filed for a case on October 17th.
His hearings will be held later this morning in front of District Judge Guy Haberl.
