Students and faculty at IUP are going to see some changes to their online platforms in the coming years.
University officials announced on IUP’s website that the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education is in the process of implementing a common Student Information System, referred to as OneSIS, at all PASSHE schools. This program will feature cross-registration and academic sharing across all state system schools while allowing for a high level of university autonomy.
Every network user at IUP will be affected in the following ways:
- MyIUP and the IUP mobile app will be replaced with a new tool called Ellucian Experience.
- All users will receive a new banner ID.
- New reporting solutions will be investigated while online reporting will go by the wayside.
- University customizations that are built off Banner data will need to be retired or transitioned to a new platform. IUP IT Services and core Banner officers are working to find alternative plans as needed.
OneSIS is expected to hit IUP in January of next year, while individual models will go live in the phases from Fall 2024 to Summer 2025.
