Blairsville Borough Police responded to three incidents on Tuesday. Two were vehicle accidents while one was an incident of public drunkenness.
Officers responded to a crash along Indiana Avenue around 7:43 a.m. They say Blake Davis of Blairsville lost control of his car while trying to negotiate a curve and went into an embankment. Davis was not hurt and his vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
The second crash happened around 12:49 p.m. at the intersection of East Market Street and Cornell Avenue. Officers say Roseann Ferguson was driving east along East Market Street but stopped so she could turn left onto Cornell Avenue. While stopped, a car driven by Judith Lenz attempted to pass Ferguson on the driver’s side but ended up side-swiping her. No one was injured and both cars were driven away from the scene.
Blairsville Borough Police also report an incident of public drunkenness on Tuesday. Officers say they received several calls about an intoxicated man at the intersection of North Walnut Street and East Campbell Avenue around 9:45 a.m., and upon arrival, they found 30-year-old Jesse Marsh to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
Marsh was evaluated by Citizens’ Ambulance Service and refused to be taken to a local medical facility. He was later released to a sober adult.
