Blairsville Borough Police have released details on two traffic stops that happened on Saturday.
The first was conducted on a Subaru along North Walnut Street around 3 a.m., and police say the driver, identified as 30-year-old Joshua Tutt of Blairsville, was under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with driving under the influence and a summary vehicle code violation.
The second traffic stop happened around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of South Liberty Street and West South Alley for what police say was a Jeep Patriot with an expired inspection sticker. As officers approached the car, they noticed the smell of marijuana coming from it. A search resulted in police seizing an undisclosed amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and metal knuckles.
Police identified the driver as 23-year-old Ryan Fultz of Indiana. He was charged with Possession of a small amount of marijuana and of drug paraphernalia, possession of weapons, and a summary vehicle code violation.
