Along with the structure fire in Armstrong County, Indiana County first responders stayed busy on Friday.
Indiana County 911 dispatched the Creekside Fire Department to the first of two crashes around 5:02 p.m. along Route 954 North and Fulton Run Road in Washington Township. Officials said in a Facebook post that one vehicle was off the roadway and no one was injured.
The second crash happened around 5:30 p.m., and it sent Indiana Fire Association, Citizens Ambulance and Indiana Borough Police to South 4th Street for a crash involving two vehicles. Indiana fire officials said one vehicle was heading west on Church Street when it made contact with another car heading south on 4th Street, subsequently pushing it into a utility pole.
Both cars sustained heavy front-end damage and had to be towed from the scene. Minor injuries were reported, and medical personnel arrived on-scene to evaluate, but did not transport anyone to a medical facility.
Indiana Fire Association conducted traffic control while Indiana Borough Police investigated.
