Milling and paving operations will begin tomorrow on Oakland Avenue in White Township. The work is scheduled to last through Friday from 6:30 AM to 8:30 PM each day. A first layer of asphalt will be laid down from the Route 422 interchange to Indian Springs Road and drivers should expect rotating lane closures, controlled by flaggers. The road will be paved for traffic in both directions.
The work is part of the $19.83 million Route 286/Route 422 Widening and Resurfacing Project, which is scheduled for completion in December.
A concrete barrier goes up tomorrow on Route 422 in the Margaret Road area in Plumcreek Township. Traffic will be cut to one lane in each direction. Once the barrier is set, a ten-foot vehicle width restriction will be implemented as the project to relocate the Margaret Road intersection continues.
That entire project will be completed in June of 2025.
