The public will get a chance to comment tonight on the Eisenhower Elementary Project as the district will hold an Act 34 public hearing.
The hearing will be held tonight at 6:30 PM at the Indiana Junior High Auditorium. It will focus on the planning, design, acquiring, construction and furnishing of the Eisenhower Elementary School. Anyone interested in making comment is asked to follow a five-minute time limit and the school board will allow public comment and/or questioning until the conclusion of the hearing.
A fire destroyed two modular classrooms at the Eisenhower complex in April of 2021. The main building also took on smoke and water damage from the firefight. Since then, Eisenhower students have been holding classes at the Indiana Junior High School.
The Act 34 hearing was originally scheduled for November 22nd of last year, but that was postponed amid concerns about the project’s cost.
