After watching the Steelers collect a bunch of defensive backs in free agency and the draft, cornerback Arthur Maulet has asked for and been granted his release from the team so he can look for a job elsewhere. He had one year left on his contract.
The Steelers crowded secondary now includes veterans Patrick Peterson, Chandon Sullivan, Ahkello Witherspoon, Levi Wallace, and James Pierre along with rookie draft picks Joey porter Jr. and Cory Trice on the corners, and Minkah Fitzpatrick, Damontae Kazee at the safety position.

The NFL is releasing its full 2023 regular season schedule tonight. The league announced several key matchups on Wednesday, including the Dolphins against the Jets in the NFL’s first-ever Black Friday game on November 24th. The Giants will travel to Philadelphia to play the Eagles on Christmas Day. An AFC Championship game rematch takes place on New Year’s Eve when the Bengals visit the Chiefs.
