The Indiana County Courthouse is expected to be busy with a lot of hearings today. While many of them are DUI-related criminal call hearings, there will be a few plea and sentencing hearings on the schedule.
35-year-old Steven R. Marsh of Saltsburg will go before Judge Michael Clark this morning for a plea court hearing. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance, of a small amount of marijuana and of drug paraphernalia along with driving without a license for an incident on October 27th in Clymer. Borough police pulled over Marsh and found that his license was suspended for driving under the influence. When police gained consent to search his vehicle, they found suspected heroin, cocaine, acid, meth and marijuana along with scales, needles, and other drug-related items. His passenger, 21-year-old Ivy Allison was also arrested on drug paraphernalia charges and it was later discovered that she was wanted on prior warrants. She is set to have a pre-trial hearing in this case on June 2nd.
Also on the schedule today is a sentencing hearing for 21-year-old Stephen Neal-Crowe of Indiana. In one case, he is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession by an inmate, and possession of drug paraphernalia from December 14th of 2021, and similar charges for a case on October 3rd of 2021.
