About one-third of Indiana County’s registered voters made their way to the polls for the 2023 primary election.
With all 69 precincts reporting in, 34.19 percent of registered voters cast a ballot in the election. One of the most-watched races Tuesday night was the District Judge race for Judge Guy Haberl’s seat in District 40-2-01. AnnMarie Everett won the Democratic nomination with 550 votes. She said she was honored to continue to her first general election.
Tony Sottile won the Republican nomination with 650 votes. He talks about what he will focus on next as his campaign continues.
Also up for grabs in November are the three County Commissioners’ seats. While Republicans Mike Keith and Robin Gorman ran unopposed and will go to the general election, joining them will be incumbent Democrat Sherene Hess and challenger Aaron Lehman. Hess was thankful to the voters.
Lehman also talked about what he will focus on for the November campaign.
