Third baseman Ke’Bryan Hayes was placed on the 10-day injured list with lower back stiffness yesterday, retroactive to Sunday, when he missed the game against the Marlins. Rookie Jared Triolo was called up from Indianapolis and made his Major League debut, batting eighth and going 1-for-3.
In this afternoon’s series finale, the Bucs go for the sweep with rookie Luis Ortiz [2-3, 3.74 ERA] facing former Bucco Joe Musgrove [6-2, 3.88 ERA]. It’s a 12:10 airtime, 12:35 first pitch on WCCS.
First baseman Ji Man Choi made a rehab start for Indianapolis and had a two-run homer last night. Reliever Rob Zastryzny made a rehab appearance for Indy and gave up a run on one hit in one inning as the starter. Reliever Colin Holderman reported no problems after throwing a bullpen session on Tuesday and said he plans to return from the injured list on Friday.

Major League baseball’s first no-hitter of the year is also the 24th perfect game in MLB history. The Yankees’ Domingo German threw the gem last night against the Oakland A’s, and he only needed 99 pitches to do it in an 11-0 Bombers win. It was the fourth perfect game in Yankees history.
ALTOONA CURVE
Altoona’s Liover Peguero hit two home runs and had four hits and Andres Alvarez homered and had two hits, but the Curve lost to Harrisburg 6-5. Sean Sullivan starts for Altoona tonight.
