The 2023-24 school year is about to begin, and the buses will soon start rolling across the area. Most of Indiana County’s school districts start classes this week, and some from neighboring counties do as well.
In Indiana County, the first day for students at Marion Center, Purchase Line, United, and ICTC is Wednesday. Homer-Center, Penns Manor and River Valley start on Thursday. The first day for Indiana is Wednesday, August 30th.
Punxsutawney Area starts classes tomorrow. Apollo Ridge, Armstrong and West Shamokin start on Tuesday, Northern Cambria on Thursday. Derry Area and Ligonier Valley begin classes next Monday, the 28th.
