State police have released more information on a fatal crash that happened on Tuesday in Buffington Township.
Indiana County Coroner Jerry Overman, Jr. conformed that 26-year-old Steven P. McCloskey died after his motorcycle was hit by a car at the intersection of Route 403 and Cameron Road. State police now say that an un-named 79-year-old man from Homer City driving the car had stopped at the stop sign on Cameron’s Road and tried to cross Route 403 when he collided with the motorcycle that McCloskey was riding. The driver of the car also suffered suspected minor injuries but was not taken to a hospital for treatment.
The investigation is continuing pending crash reconstruction. Charges have not yet been filed.
