State representative Jim Struzzi is alerting local government and nonprofit entities about a funding support opportunity.
Nearly $1 million was awarded locally through the PA Department of Community and Economic Development’s Local Share Account program according to a news release from State Representative Jim Struzzi. LSA grants are available now, and the deadline to apply is November 30th. Struzzi said the projects must be deemed to be in the public interest, like new township roads, new township equipment or funding for emergency service items. The projects must cost between $25,000 and $1 million and be owned and operated by an eligible applicant or a non-profit organization. The grants are facilitated through the distribution of gaming revenue by the Commonwealth Financing Authority.
Anyone interested in applying for the LSA grants can visit the DCED website at www.dced.pa.gov and search for “LSA grants”.
