The Emergency Food Assistance Program has announced over $1.6 million in grants have been awarded to food banks across the state, and a portion of that money will come to Indiana County.
At an event at a food bank in Bethlehem yesterday, Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding announced the distribution of the money through the program’s Reach and Resiliency Grant program. Secretary Redding said that helping to expand the capacity of these organizations is one key to help those who are in need of food.
The Indiana County Community Action Program will receive $47,918 in state funding from the program.
