The United School Board will meet tonight and a resolution concerning next year’s budget is on the proposed agenda.
The resolution states that the district will not raise taxes in the 2024-25 budget higher than the index that was set by the state Department of Education, which for United is 7.6 percent. The resolution would not lock the district into making a tax increase but would rather set their upper limit for any tax increases that may come.
Also on the agenda is an agreement between United and the Alternative Community Resource Program for services as the Center for Achievement School for K-6 students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders at a rate of $194 per student per day, with the district only being charged when it uses the services.
The board will also look to accept the formal resignation of football coach Kevin Marabito. He announced his retirement last week.
The meeting starts at 7:30 and will be held in the district conference room.
