On June 20, 2024, Mae “Mazie” Windows finished her journey on earth and met her loving Father Jesus. This was a long-awaited day, straight from a love filled room of those that will miss her so much, to the beautiful place she has been anticipating so long.
Mazie was born in McIntyre, on May 25, 1935, to the late Milson and Catherine Windows.
Mazie worked for FMC before her retirement in 1994. She was a very loving caretaker of her mother for many years. She was a meticulous housekeeper and hard worker. She was always first in the dishpan at family functions. She was an excellent cook and baked very delicious buns.
Besides her parents, Mazie is preceded in death by her brothers Gordon, Richard, and William Windows; as well as her sisters Dorothy Baer, June Farina, and Joanne Cribbs
She is survived by her brothers Thomas and Ronald Windows, her sister Jean Hoak, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Also, the staff at Rose Haven, her second family, provided caring support and lots of love for the past several years. The many thoughtful gestures and hugs for our family during our stressful last visits there were so appreciated. Sharing tears of sadness together showed us how much you loved aunt Mazie.
Lastly, sincere appreciation to Asera Care Hospice. Mallory and Missy were our super team, so caring and attentive. Missy, you were our angel… No words can express our gratitude. God placed you into our lives when we needed you most.
Life is temporary and death is part of life. Often death is feared. Aunt Mazie was not afraid but excited to move forward into her life with Jesus in heaven.
Friends will be received on Monday, June 24, 2024, from 11 AM until the time of service at 1 PM in the Bowser Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, with Reverend Jim Fritz officiating. Private burial will be held in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.
