One person was left without a home after a fire in Homer City Sunday morning.
Indiana County 911 reports that Homer City, Indiana, Black Lick, Blairsville and Brush Valley fire departments were dispatched to a home at the end of Saint Clair Street at 4:20 this morning along with the Indiana County RIT team. Homer City fire chief Terry Gardner described the scene when he arrived.
Gardner added that while the home’s structure was saved, it is not habitable.
The occupant, who was not named, was not home at the time of the fire, but she is receiving aid from nearby relatives. The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical in nature.
