WHAT WE PREVIOUSLY REPORTED
Seven defendants are scheduled for sentencing today in Indiana County Court. One of them was a witness to a shooting last summer at the Days Inn in Burrell Township.
26-year-old Matraca Lynn Vrana of Northern Cambria was arrested July 1st in the room where the shooting occurred during a struggle over a gun as Justin Libengood allegedly tried to rob David Lee McGinnis. Both Libengood and McGinnis fled the scene before police arrived, but Vrana remained and was taken into custody. She pleaded guilty in December to a single misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, with non-prosecution for felony possession with intent to deliver and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.
Libengood and McGinnis were both taken into custody later and both have criminal charges making their way through the court system, McGinnis in both Indiana and Westmoreland counties.
