Catherine “Kay” E. (Pickerd) Wiggins, 88, of Indiana, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024, at her home.
A daughter of the late David John and Edith (Forninger) Pickerd, Kay was born Oct. 21, 1936, in Brush Valley.
Kay was a member of the Ferguson Bible Church in Indiana. For 35 years, she was employed at Season-All Industries. Following her retirement from Season-All, Kay worked in the Indiana High School cafeteria, BiLo bakery and helped at Reeger’s Farm during pumpkin festivals. Kay will be remembered as a hard worker. She enjoyed mowing the grass, camping, planting flowers, and bowling trips, and loved going on cruises. One of her favorite pastimes was going to breakfast with her friends.
She is survived by two daughters: Doris Pisarcik and companion, Brian Arford, of Indiana; and Paula McKee, of Indiana; five grandchildren: Stephanie, Michael, Gary, Sean and Kelly; and one great-granddaughter, Emelia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Clarence “Paul” P. Wiggins in 2012; and eight siblings.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 13, 2024, at Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7th Street, Indiana. Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, with Pastor Randy Perry officiating. Interment will be private.
