With the transition to winter sports, IUP Athletics ranks fourth in the PSAC Dixon Trophy standings, which were released yesterday. IUP is fifth in men’s sports and tied for seventh in women’s sports.
The Dixon Trophy is awarded at the end of each academic year to the league’s most successful program based on conference playoff and/or regular-season finishes. Each conference champion is awarded 17 points, and a descending point value is given for respective place finishes. IUP’s combined men’s and women’s score average is 11.14.
