Despite being selected to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Iron Maiden will not be at the ceremony in Los Angeles later this year.
The band’s manager Rod Smallwood told Billboard that the band will instead be on tour in Australia around the ceremony’s date. He said “in accepting, the band made it very clear to the Hall of Fame that the fans always come first and the show will of course go on.” Along with Iron Maiden, some other inductees include Phil Collins, Oasis, Billy Idol, Wu-Tang Clan, and the late Luther Vandross.
The induction ceremony is scheduled for November 14th at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
