An online petition is being launched to help save a studio in London from demolition.
The Battery Studios has been used to record a number of classic albums, including Iron Maiden’s “The Number of the Beast,” Def Leppar’s “Pyromania,” and Black Sabbath’s “Sabotage.” A statement from the owner says “we are calling on the music industry, artists, and the public to stand together to protect this irreplaceable cultural landmark.” The statement also says “saving Battery Recording Studios isn’t just about preserving a building – it’s about protecting the future of music and those who create it.”
Battery Studios, which is located in Willesden, is facing demolition and redevelopment.
