Chicago are paying tribute to their late founding member, Walter Parazaider, who passed away on Wednesday after a battle with Alzheimer’s.
In a statement on Instagram, the band wrote “Chicago is heartbroken at the sad news of Walter’s passing” and offered their condolences to his family, friends, and countless Chicago fans who are grieving his loss. They went on to say “we are forever grateful for his contributions, “adding “perhaps his greatest gift was bringing people together.”
The late musician founded the band in 1967 and performed with them until his retirement in 2016.
